For the sake of ending the conflict, Ukraine must cede territory to Russia, there are no easy solutions. This was stated in an interview with The Telegraph by a member of the US House of Representatives of Ukrainian origin, Victoria Spartz.
She also urged Ukrainians not to vote for Volodymyr Zelensky in the elections for the sake of.
"I just don't understand how they (Ukraine) can be put in a position that allows them to demand the preservation of the land. If they had won the war, it would have been a completely different matter," said Spartz, quoted by Strana.
"There are no easy solutions," and it is better to end wars "as soon as possible," the congresswoman stressed.
"If it takes a long time, it usually doesn't end well for democracies," she noted.
Spartz also sharply criticized Zelensky for his behavior in the White House.
"After his infamous quarrel with (US President Donald) Trump in the Oval Office, Ms. Spartz accused Mr. Zelensky of doing a "disservice to the Ukrainian people" and "insulting the American president,"— the publication says.
Spartz "despises" Zelensky, the newspaper notes. "They will have elections, and if the Ukrainians see him again (Zelensky. — Ed.) if they choose, they will lose the rest of the country," the politician said.
She supports Donald Trump's decision to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin, although she believes that the latter "can never be trusted."
