The import of the largest batch of explosives in the history of Belarus into the territory of the EAEU was stopped at the Belarusian-Polish border. This was reported on April 6 in The State Customs Committee of the Republic.

It is noted that the driver tried to enter Belarus through the Brest checkpoint in a Mercedes, but based on the risk analysis system, the car was sent for scanning using an inspection and inspection complex.
"According to the results of the scan, which showed uncharacteristic darkening in the area of the floor of the car, as well as in the wall separating the cargo and passenger compartments, the car was sent for in-depth inspection, followed by partial dismantling of the floor and the wall of the car. In addition, the body was treated with technical grease from the inside to prevent service dogs from detecting the substance," the SCC said.
Competent specialists were involved in the extraction of the substance. The customs laboratory promptly conducted an expert examination, which confirmed that the detected substance was "a powerful high explosive pentaerythritol tetranitrate (TEN) with a total amount of more than 580 kg."
