China imposes additional trade duties of 34% on all products imported from the United States. This was stated by the Tariff Commission of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, according to TASS.
According to the agency, the measures will take effect from April 10.
As noted in the State Council, this step was a response to the tariff policy of the American President Donald Trump.
"The US actions do not comply with international trade rules, seriously undermine China's legitimate rights and interests, and are a typical manifestation of unilateral intimidation," the statement said.
Earlier, on April 2, Trump announced the establishment of a minimum rate of customs duties on imported goods in the amount of 10%. His decree introduced individual tariffs for individual states. For China, they amounted to 34%.
