Vitaly Milonov, deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, admitted that he had not yet heard the "war songs" of the runaway Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. But he is sure that the singer cares about winning the favor of the West, and she should be recognized as a foreign agent.
"Fortunately, I didn't hear what she said, of course I should listen. She has plenty of money, but apparently she cares about winning the favor of the new owners, apparently she was advised to reorient herself from American to European structures. If the songs contain those things that will allow Pugachev to be declared a foreign agent, then why not? I think this is fair," the parliamentarian told the portal News.ru .
At the same time, Milonov recalled that Pugacheva avoids harsh statements, but now, apparently, she was called to clearly state her position.
"She is a smart grandmother and has survived so many general secretaries, always served the interests of the authorities to the last and was careful not to make statements. Apparently, now they demanded that she clearly state her position there. She made a choice," the deputy concluded.
As reported by EADaily, earlier on Pugacheva's YouTube channel two new songs on military themes were published - "Kiss of War" and "Mama". The author of the music in both compositions is Andrei Misin, the words in the song "Mama" were written by Pugacheva herself, in the second track — Andrei Ordynets.
Both songs do not imply any specific war, they are about abstract military operations. In the song "Mama" we are talking on behalf of a woman who has lost her son, who is having a conversation with her dead son. The style of performance of the artist can hardly be called singing, rather it is recitative. The songs use guitar and keyboards with minimal orchestration.
The head of the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption Vitaly Borodin has already responded to the publication of the songs, he called for checking the lyrics of the songs for discrediting RF Armed Forces.
At the same time, State Duma deputy Sergei Solovyov (United Russia) believes that the tracks do not contain anything that could be a reason for recognizing the singer as a foreign agent.
"I didn't find anything about SMO about Ukraine in the lyrics of two songs. Why guess at the coffee grounds? There is no reason. Well, mom is crying for her son — a touching song. That's my opinion," he said.
