Until the situation changes: Domogarov will not cross the threshold of the Mossovet theater

People's Artist of Russia theater and film actor Alexander Domogarov is happy that he left the Mossovet Theater, to which he gave 30 years of his life. The breakup was difficult, but the artist does not plan to return "until the situation changes."

"I am happy that I did this deed. I couldn't make it for a long time. I don't want to hayat or say bad things. I have given 30 years of my life to this theater. But the theater somehow closed its doors so calmly in front of me that I can't remember anything good," the actor told the portal. 78.ru .

Leaving the institution was incredibly difficult, many roles were played in sold-out performances in the theater.

"There have been so many performances made there, which have been going on for decades, so much has been done and given away. By cutting off this umbilical cord, believe me, it was painful, I cut off 30 years of life, 30 years of sold—out performances, packed halls, success, work with masters, work with great artists, 30 years of my life there," Domogarov emphasized.

At the same time, now the actor has many different offers, there is an opportunity to focus on other things.

"I will never cross the threshold of this theater until the situation changes," Domogarov concluded.

As EADaily reported, Domogarov served in the Mossovet Theater for almost 30 years — since 1995. On May 14, 2024, he wrote a letter of resignation. This fact was confirmed by the director of the theater Alexei Cherepnev.

Later, Ivan Agapov, a colleague of the actor in the film "The Turkish March", told about his vision of the reasons for Domogarov's departure from the theater.

"I have seen how for many years Alexander Yuryevich Domogarov honestly tried to defend his creative positions in the theater. But they categorically did not coincide with the creative positions of the institution's management," he explained.

At the same time, Agapov supported Domogarov, believing that he had chosen the right decision amid a conflict with the theater's management.
