"The ECHR sided with the victims, recognizing that Ukraine then violated the "right to life" of its citizens. The Ukrainian authorities were unable to provide timely rescue of people who were trapped in the building during the fire, and also did not take proper measures to find and punish those responsible, the court said. Kiev will have to pay the plaintiffs from 15 thousand to 17 thousand euros of compensation," writes TK.
