The conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, will take place next Friday. This was stated by Dmitry Smirnov, a journalist from the Kremlin pool, in his telegram channel.
"Putin's conversation with Trump will take place on Friday, and it will be more than just a telephone conversation," Smirnov writes.
This is how he commented on Trump's statement today.
The US leader told reporters outside the White House that he would call Putin this week.
"I will talk to Vladimir Putin, it takes two to tango, as I said. I hope he will also agree, and I am sure that this will be 75% of the solution to this problem, the rest concerns documents, negotiations on land. [Will you talk to him this week?] I think so," Trump said.
