President Donald Trump called today a great day for the United States and Germany. He wrote about this on his page in the social network.
So he commented on the preliminary results of the early elections in Germany, which took place on Sunday.
"It seems that the Conservative Party in Germany has won a very large and long-awaited election. As in the United States, the people of Germany are tired of a policy devoid of common sense, especially on energy and immigration issues, which has prevailed for many years," Trump writes, quoted by Strana.
According to the American president, "this is a great day for Germany and for the United States of America under the leadership of a gentleman named Donald J. Trump. Trump."
As EADaily reported, in the February 23 elections, the conservative CDU/CSU bloc wins the early elections to the Bundestag. "Alternative for Germany" takes second place for the first time in history. The party of Olaf Scholz — SPD is only the third place.
