Rovshan Omarov, a deputy of the Derbent City Assembly, was detained in Dagestan on suspicion of organizing illegal migration.
According to local publications, Omarov illegally imported Chinese to his greenhouses in the village of Rukel, and sold the products they grew in the capital's markets. At the same time, workers could not leave the "place of work."
FSB officers searched the deputy's home, and now he is being interrogated.
Last year, Omarov has already thundered in the media. At the beginning of 2024, he bought several apartments in a house in Derbent and set up a supermarket in them. The repair was done in such a way that the apartment of Omarov's neighbor, who refused to sell it to him, was walled up inside the building. Because of this, a fraud case was opened against him, the deputy was expelled from United Russia, and he was also ordered to eliminate violations during construction.
