About 15 thousand military personnel are recorded in the border areas of Ukraine near the border of Belarus. This was announced today, January 28, by the official representative of the State Border Committee of the republic Anton Bychkovsky.
According to him, these are the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the police and the territorial defense.
"At the moment, the situation is controlled, the border service authorities are performing tasks in an enhanced version of their duty, without losing any vigilance, despite the fact that the situation has tended to normalize recently," he said.
At the same time, Bychkovsky noted that Belarusian border guards are ready to resume the work of checkpoints on the border with Ukraine as soon as possible, if such a request is from the neighboring side.
