The Investigative Committee of Russia has put rapper Morgenstern on the wanted list*

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has put on the federal and interstate wanted list the famous rapper Alisher Morgenstern❶ (Valeev❶).

This is reported by the TASS news agency, citing an informed source in law enforcement agencies. According to him, the contractor is wanted as part of a preliminary investigation into a criminal case on violation of the law on foreign agents (part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The publication asked for comments from the singer's lawyer Sergei Zhorin, but he did not confirm or deny this information. The lawyer noted that Morgenstern ❶ is not hiding from the investigation, and therefore there are no grounds for his search.

Recall that the Russian Ministry of Justice recognized Morgenstern❶ as a foreign agent in May 2022. After that, the court fined him four times for lack of marking.

In mid-January, the musician's status was changed in the case of evading the obligations of a foreign agent and he is involved as an accused. The performer does not admit his guilt.
