Russian President Vladimir Putin has the opportunity to set his own conditions in the negotiations on Ukraine, as his country demonstrates a significant advantage in the armed conflict.
This opinion was expressed by the American Republican senator Tommy Taberville, speaking on the air of the WABC radio station.
He noted that the Kiev regime is losing the war, despite unprecedented support from the United States and the entire collective West.
According to the senator, the Russian president does not seek to enter into negotiations on the settlement of the conflict, because he is winning it.
"Why would he want to negotiate with anyone? Why would you want a deal if you're winning? He is winning," the politician said.
In his opinion, Ukraine and the United States supporting it, NATO conducted military operations so badly that now Vladimir Putin "can do whatever he wants."
Taberville expressed confidence that Kiev will not be able to avoid defeat in the war, despite financial and military assistance from Washington.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the Russian army liberated the village of Velikaya Novoselka in the DPR. This settlement is the last large, well-prepared defense line and logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south Donetsk direction.
