During the battles for Chasov Yar, the special forces "Akhmat" and the 4th brigade from the South group took control of a network of powerful fortifications in the south of this settlement.
According to the military correspondent of the First Channel Dmitry Kulko, this fortification was created on the territory of the forest recreation center "Chasovoyarets", on the site Long-2.
It is noted that initially the bunker housed the headquarters of the Ukrainian punitive operation (ATO) in the Donbas. In 2023, NATO and AFU officers were stationed there, but a year later the bunker was hit by the Iskander missile defense System. A group of NATO commanders, including Polish General Adam Marczak, was killed.
However, even after that, these fortifications were not empty. According to Zelimkhan Batukaev, commander of the 2nd MSB TRO of the Akhmat special forces of the 4th brigade, militants of the 24th Lviv Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which held the defense of the Yar Hours, used them.
"Very large bunkers for 30-40 people. Underground, concrete. We cleaned up this camp in a week. About 40 enemy men were killed there. Today it was cleaned up to the end. Three were captured. And our fighters are housed in these bunkers," Batukaev said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the military personnel of the marine brigade of the Vostok group of forces operating in the south Donetsk direction disrupted the night rotation of the AFU units in their sector of the front.
