The scandalous SIZO-1 in Rostov-on-Don is again in the epicenter of attention, this time the prisoners' personal files were burned there after an explosion followed by a fire. This was reported by the Shot telegram channel.
"An explosion followed by a fire occurred in the scandalous SIZO-1 in Rostov. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs moved to the scene of the emergency, " the report says.
Later TK clarified that "the cotton occurred in the office of the system administrator of SIZO-1."
"The cotton and the epicenter of the fire on the territory of the isolation ward were in the office where the system administrator's equipment is located. There were only two employees in the building, they were not injured. There were no prisoners there. The fire was quickly extinguished," Shot writes.
According to him, according to one version, it's a matter of poorly done wiring. About two years ago, an electrical panel exploded in the same building, after which, previously, the wiring was not restored to normal.
"Several personal files of prisoners were burned down during a fire in the Rostov SIZO-1,— TK reported the details. — The cause of the explosion is a short circuit due to an unplugged switch. One of the employees of the isolation ward did not turn off the switch in the switchboard before leaving the shift. The wiring could not withstand the voltage. There was a pop and a subsequent fire."
The fire was extinguished when it had already covered five square meters, which was enough to burn about ten personal files of prisoners.
As reported to the Readovka telegram channel in the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Rostov region, a fire broke out in the administrative premises at night in SIZO-1. It was promptly localized — there were no casualties, only material damage was caused. There is no exact information about the causes of the fire yet — previously, there could have been a short circuit.
Recall that in mid-January, the prisoners of SIZO-1 made a dig and tried to escape. This institution of the Federal Penitentiary Service is also known for the fact that its employee, for money, took women from a separate building to men's cells, and Vyacheslav Tsepovyaz, a member of the Tsapkov gang, arranged a two-year "vacation" with red caviar and a plasma TV. In July last year, terrorists took employees hostage.
