The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Zelensky, held a meeting in Davos, where the World Economic Forum is taking place.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani president, the meeting was held on the initiative of the Ukrainian side.
It is reported that they discussed "relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the political, economic, humanitarian spheres, as well as cooperation in the field of energy and regional security issues."
At the World Economic Forum, Zelensky said that Ukraine's strategy in the conflict with Russia is "striving for a diplomatic solution." He wants "reliable security guarantees for Ukraine." According to Zelensky, "strong diplomacy" will be able to ensure the resolution of the conflict and create conditions for long-term peace in Europe. Earlier, Zelensky expressed doubt that Europe would become an active participant in the peace talks on Ukraine.
