At an oil depot in Engels continues the process of burning out fuel, experts are still trying to eliminate the fire. This was announced today, January 12, by the governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin.
"Today we held a regular meeting of the operational headquarters at the site of the fire in Engels. The process of controlled fuel burnout continues. Specialists are taking all necessary measures to eliminate it around the clock," he wrote.
According to Busargin, the amount of smoke, as well as the fire area, is decreasing, and the latest air samples also did not reveal an excess concentration of harmful substances.
As EADaily reported, on the night of January 8, Ukrainian UAVs attacked an industrial facility in Engels, during the liquidation of the fire, two firefighters were killed, another was hospitalized.
