The participant of the famous and popular show on the TNT channel "Dances", dancer and choreographer Vladimir Rakov, who fought on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, died in the zone of a special military operation. This was announced on social networks by his girlfriend, choreographer Galina Peha.
"On January 6, while performing a combat mission, my closest friend and colleague Vladimir Rakov was killed," she wrote.
The place and circumstances of the death are not specified.
Vladimir Rakov was born in Yevpatoria, he was 30 years old. He studied dancing in In New York and Los Angeles, he took part in dance competitions in Germany. In 2013, he won the sixth season of the Ukrainian TV project "Everyone is Dancing!". For several years he was a member of the troupe of the German Traumtheater Salome. In 2018, he won the World of Dance competition in Berlin. In 2019, he played in the Ukrainian dance film "Let's Dance", in the same year he reached the super finals in the Russian TV show "Dancing" on TNT.
According to Ukrainian media, Rakov served as part of the second infantry battalion of the 24th separate mechanized Brigade.
