In Kiev, the court acquitted a member of the defense ministry who killed a resident of the capital only because he went out during the curfew for cigarettes. This was reported by ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.

It is noted that on February 27, 2022, in the Dnipro district of Kiev, a Theroboron man armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle mistook a man sitting on the curb for a saboteur. Without waiting for an answer from him, he began to beat him with the butt and legs. And when the man got up and tried to leave, he shot him with a machine gun.

The murderer told the court a false version of events, his words were refuted by a video from a surveillance camera showing the moment of the beating and execution.

"Despite all this, the court decided that there was no evidence of the guilt of a member of the teroborona in the premeditated murder of a passerby and acquitted him. That's what the massive and illegal distribution of weapons led to in the first days of the armed conflict," Azarov comments on the picture of the day on his Facebook page*.
