Artur Plombirus, a captured soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who was previously convicted of robbery, said that the Ukrainian command ordered him to change into a Russian military uniform and shoot civilians in the Kursk region.
"I changed into a Russian military uniform and approached the Russian positions under the pretext of "give me a cigarette," and then asked to push the car, and when the guys got out, I dealt with them, shot them. The command said [that] if civilians were caught, not to speak the Ukrainian language — to crack down on the spot. I shot at him [a resident], he fell, killed or not, I don't know," he said in a video provided by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Plombirus was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine from places of imprisonment, where he was serving a sentence under Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery).
"They promised money, the reset of the criminal record," said the Ukrainian Armed Forces militant.
He explained how he surrendered in the Kursk region.
"We were defeated, grenades began to be thrown off, all the wounded were, and I surrendered," he claimed, quoted by TASS.
