The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has officially confirmed a massive combined strike on targets on the territory of Ukraine in response to an attack by ATACMS missiles on a military airfield in Taganrog.
The corresponding statement was published on Friday, December 13, by the press service of the military department on its official resources.
"On December 11, 2024, a missile strike was launched from the territory of Ukraine by six American-made ATACMS tactical missiles at a military airfield near the city of Taganrog," the ministry recalled.
They reported that in response to the use of American long-range weapons by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a massive strike was launched with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons.
Strike unmanned aerial vehicles also participated in the attack. The target of the strike was critical facilities of the fuel and energy infrastructure of Ukraine, ensuring the operation of the military-industrial complex.
"The target of the strike has been achieved. All objects are hit," the Defense Ministry concluded.
