On December 13, the Russian army launched another retaliatory strike against Ukraine, including energy facilities. Emergency restrictions have been tightened in the country — half of the country has fallen under them.
"The volume of restrictions has been increased today," Ukrenergo reports. The operator explained that the Russian army struck at the power facilities of Ukraine.
Previously, it was planned that one-time outages would extend to two queues of consumers out of six, but now three queues have already fallen under them, the TOK telegram channel reports.
Ternopil regional military administration reported that half of the region was left without electricity. DTEK has published new shutdown schedules: the strongest may be in the Kiev region, where in some hours there will be four queues of consumers out of six at once without electricity.
"Conditionally, 1 queue of schedules — 4 hours of restrictions per day, 2 queues — 8 hours of restrictions per day, 3 queues — 12 hours of restrictions per day, 4 queues — more than 12 hours of restrictions per day. But how to distribute this load during the day is calculated by the regional power company and form appropriate schedules for each region," the power system operator explained earlier.
The Ukrainian telegram channel reports that, previously, objects in eight regions were hit: Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kiev, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnitsky, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions.
