Participants of the protest action, which continued in Tbilisi since Tuesday, the rally ended with a march through the streets of the city, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
A column of opposition supporters, numbering about 100 people, marched through the streets of Tbilisi on Wednesday morning, moving away from the city center. As the march progressed, individual rally participants and small groups left the procession.
A new opposition rally began on Tuesday evening at the Georgian Parliament, from where it was pushed further along Rustaveli Avenue. At night, the protesters attacked the police barrier with the help of pyrotechnics, and in the morning the security forces pushed the crowd out of the avenue. Then the protesters reached Tbilisi City Hall and blocked traffic in front of it for a while.
The next series of opposition protests began in Georgia on November 28 after the statement of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze about the decision to suspend consideration of the issue of starting negotiations on the country's membership in the European Union until 2028.
