Throughout Kyrgyzstan, all alcoholic beverages are being withdrawn from sale, reports vesti.kg .
According to the agency, this is due to the fact that the State Tax Service (STS) of the republic at the end of November issued an order to replace all excise stamps manufactured before 2023 and earlier, without re-paying the relevant tax.
The government decided to bring everything in line within three days. It is necessary to paste new excise stamps on the product, and only then it can be returned to the shelves of stores and retail outlets.
"Whether manufacturers and importers will have time to make a replacement before the New Year holidays is a big question, since in order to fulfill the necessary requirements, large logistics operations, human resources and financial costs are needed. At the same time, the cost of products is likely to increase, as it will be necessary to compensate for all expenses, including the sticker of a new excise stamp,"the agency writes.
The State Tax Service banned the distribution of alcoholic beverages with excise stamps until 2023 and earlier.
