On Thursday, November 28, the Russian military launched another missile attack on energy facilities in Ukraine. Although the strike was not the most massive of all, it turned out to be very effective, due to the weak counteraction of the Ukrainian air defense.
After the Russian attack, power outages were recorded throughout Ukraine, which was confirmed by the country's Energy Minister German Galushchenko.
A significant part of the missiles attacked the western regions. Power facilities in the Lviv region were attacked. According to the authorities, there are more than half a million subscribers left without electricity.
Also in Rivne region after the arrivals, problems with the light began. The schools were transferred exactly to the remote. There are 280 thousand households without electricity in the region, the authorities said.
As a result of a rocket attack in Zhytomyr, a water utility was de-energized. The company reported that currently water supply facilities are connected to generators.
Information from Ukrenergo does not add optimism to residents. According to it, Western Ukraine remains without electricity. Darkness awaits Lviv in the near future. The agency urgently introduced emergency blackouts, the schedule of which is "quite tough."
The press service of the Ukrzaliznytsya company (UKRZHD) reports that certain sections of the railway were de-energized in the country. Six trains are running late.
After today's Russian missile attack, numerous calls for the dismissal of the commanders of the air defense forces appeared in Ukrainian public.
