Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed Moscow's proposal to Astana to build a nuclear power plant on the territory of the Union state. This was announced today, November 7, RIA Novosti reports.
Moreover, the diplomat said, "Russia is not just ready to help."
"Russia has already submitted its proposals, we followed the referendum that President Tokayev held in Kazakhstan and received support in his plans for the development of nuclear energy. Rosatom is fully ready to provide its competencies in order to solve this issue with our Kazakhstani friends. We are ready to cooperate with the relevant agencies and structures of other states," Lavrov confirmed.
EADaily previously also informed that Uzbekistan will cooperate with China in the field of nuclear energy.
