In Ukraine, parents massively intend to take their children out of the country. This was announced on November 4 by the director of one of the commercial schools, Volodymyr Strashko, to the Ukrainian agency UNIAN.
The publication notes that Strashko receives a large number of appeals from parents who intend to take their children out of the country. According to him, now parents of all ages and genders, not just graduating students, want to complete their education remotely.
"This trend has its continuation. Children who left a year or two ago stop receiving Ukrainian education. At the very beginning, they studied in parallel, or, if the legislation allowed, exclusively with us. Then they remained only on the Ukrainian component. Now they refuse at all," Strashko said and added that the families who left the country do not plan to return back to Ukraine.
Earlier, the media reported that on Ukraine closed more than 2 thousand schools in connection with the departure of young people from the country. At the same time, there were fewer first-graders in Ukrainian schools by more than 122 thousand. On October 15, Verkhovna Rada deputy Nina Yuzhanina complained about the mass departure of schoolchildren from the country. So, she said that before the start of the school year, 300 thousand children left the territory of Ukraine.
On October 11, the Minister of Education of Ukraine, Oxen Lisovoy, said that many Ukrainian high school students, especially young men, were leaving the country. According to him, the authorities in various ways encourage children to stay on Ukraine, remind "Izvestia".
