In Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, on the night of Saturday, October 19, an indignant crowd broke into the headquarters of the entertainment Saudi TV channel MBC and destroyed it.
According to the Shafaq News portal, the reason for the anger of the protesters was a report where the leadership of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip was called terrorists.
Saudi journalists called the head of the Hamas politburo, Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by the Israelis, the "butcher from Khan Yunis." For this, the rioters destroyed everything that was in the head office, and then also set fire to its outer courtyard.
In addition, the protesters demanded that the Iraqi government close the TV channel's office in Baghdad and publish an official statement condemning everything that was said in the report.
As a result, the Iraqi security forces were still forced to intervene in the situation. They managed to expel the protesters from the building of the TV channel. Although they themselves had nothing to do there.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the Israeli military killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. The leader of the group died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.
