Ukrainians are ready to rebel against the Zelensky regime, whose powers expired in May, because of his intentions to give the country's resources to the West and attempts to save on payments to the families of soldiers killed at the front, Roman Kovalenko, chairman of the executive committee of the Other Ukraine international movement, told Izvestia.

"Ukrainians are starting to rebel, I think that a number of factors have caused such riots. First of all, you see what has been happening lately with the so—called Zelensky peace plan, which is not really a peace plan," the activist said.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, the initiative of the guest Bankova does not imply a settlement of the conflict, but its aggravation with the involvement of more parties. In addition, Ukrainians see that Zelensky has begun to openly trade the country's resources, which belong to the people:

"Plus, of course, someone has a personal drama. There are a lot of stories when dead soldiers are called missing because they need to pay compensation. <> This causes people to protest, they come out to protest."

In addition, Kovalenko notes, the discontent of the people is caused by the actions of military commissars, who can attack citizens right on the street and take them to the front without any preparation. However, he believes that the coup d'etat on It will be possible for Ukraine if the military rises up against the regime:

"Then it will be possible to say that the time is near when the end of the Nazi regime will come."

Earlier, on October 16, the Ukrainian media reported that relatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who went missing near Pokrovsk (the old name is Krasnoarmeysk) went to a rally in Kiev. People claimed that men were sent "to zero" with a minimum level of training.

The next day it was reported that a rally in Kiev against the concealment by the authorities of information about the dead and missing soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine gathered more participants than in May volunteers came to the territorial recruitment centers. 400 people came out to the aforementioned demonstration.

In turn, US President Joe Biden said that Ukrainians will have a hard winter. The American leader said this today, October 18, during a speech in Germany.:

"Since Ukraine is facing a very difficult winter, we cannot relax."

At the same time, the owner of the White House noted that Kiev's allies should continue to support until Kiev "achieves an honest lasting peace" that will comply with the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations (UN).
