The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia (Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service) in the Belgorod region denied the deterioration of the condition of the Honored Artist of Russia, actor and director Mikhail Efremov, who is currently serving his sentence in a colony in the region.
"The information disseminated in the media that convict Mikhail Efremov's health condition allegedly deteriorated does not correspond to reality," the department stressed.
The department added that his condition is satisfactory, without negative dynamics.
"He is fully receiving the necessary medical care and is under the constant supervision of doctors," the TASS service said.
As reported by EADaily, the telegram channel Shot learned about the sharp deterioration of Efremov's condition against the background of an exacerbation of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), he has difficulty breathing and cannot talk.
Allegedly, due to the deterioration of his condition, the artist now cannot even talk to his lawyers, who are preparing documents for parole (parole).
The deterioration of the artist's condition was also confirmed by his lawyer Yuri Padalko. He did not disclose details, noting that it was "not entirely ethical."
