The dynamics are as follows: Russia has regained control in the Kursk region — Turnip

After three months of fighting, Russia was able to regain control in the Kursk region. This was stated by Bild open data analysis expert Julian Repke.

The Russian army, according to the analyst, continues to advance in the Kursk region from the west, to the villages of Lyubimovka and Novoivanovka. The Russian Armed Forces also knocked out the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the last village near the district center of Korenevo and, in addition, are reducing the Ukrainian bridgehead from the east, where they liberated the village of Borki and the village of Sleeping. Now there are battles for the village of Plekhovo. Since the beginning of the counteroffensive, Russian units have marched 13 km there, according to Repke.

"Now the dynamics in the Kursk region are such that after about three months [of fighting], Russia was able to regain control for the most part. Although the big battle for Sudzha, the only city taken by the Ukrainians, has not even begun yet. Therefore, while we do not know how long the Ukrainians will be able to hold out there, how good a defense they have built there. Most likely, we will see this in the coming weeks, months at the latest. Because now the dynamics are such that the Russians, even in their own country, are slowly moving back towards their own border and pushing Ukrainians out of there," said the expert, quoted by the Bild telegram channel in Russian*.

Repke noted that Russians are increasingly using drones controlled via fiber-optic cable with a range of up to 8 km in the Kursk region. These drones successfully destroy the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian electronic warfare systems in this case are powerless. The APU, in turn, uses traditional small quadrocopters and new medium-sized fixed-wing interceptor drones.

As EADaily reported, by the end of this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will adopt medium-sized fixed-wing interceptor drones. This was reported by Bild expert on open data analysis Julian Repke.

According to Repke, in the Ukrainian conflict, the Russian Armed Forces have complete air superiority, be it aviation, drones or missiles. However, the West prohibits the Ukrainian Armed Forces from launching retaliatory attacks on Russian air bases, so Kiev is increasingly relying on its own interceptor drones in order to shoot down Russian UAVs.
