The wreckage of the Russian "Hunter" can give important data to the Pentagon — expert

The wreckage of the Russian heavy strike reconnaissance drone Okhotnik shot down in the SMO zone can give the United States important information about the military technologies of the Russian Federation. This is the opinion of a member of the presidium of the organization "Officers of Russia", military expert Andrei Golovatyuk, reports Pravda.Ru .

Earlier, a columnist for the American edition of TWZ, Tyler Rogovey, wrote that the C-70 Hunter aircraft was shot down in DNR Russian fighter Su-57. According to the journalist, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already found and removed large and relatively intact fragments of the UAV. Rogovey added that the remains of the drone could be an important intelligence find for the United States.

Golovatyuk confirmed that having obtained parts of the UAV, the United States will be able to study the new guidance, navigation and data transmission equipment installed on it.

"Studying these parameters and how it works is an invaluable experience, a godsend for the special services. They think that this will somehow help counteract our drones," he explained.

At the same time, it is not a fact that American intelligence will be able to obtain this information from the wreckage, since Russia has special devices that trigger the self-destruction of components in the event of a drone strike, the expert emphasized.

The US statements about the fact that they have valuable details of the Russian "Hunter" at their disposal may be a common trick, the source added.

"It is desirable that nothing remains of our drones. So the enemy will not be able to study them and create a counteraction system," Golovatyuk summed up.
