Russian President Vladimir Putin jokingly asked the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, which country's suit he was wearing. The conversation came up during a video conference as part of the launch of new industrial facilities in the regions of Russia.
"Gleb Sergeevich, do you have a suit of domestic production?" the president asked.
Nikitin replied that his suit was made of domestic fabric, although there was no tag confirming its origin.
"Unfortunately, without a tag, but made of domestic fabric, of domestic production," the head of the region assured.
Putin was pleased with Nikitin's choice.
"Great, great. We should strive to ensure that we are happy to wear and use everything that surrounds us, of domestic production, and that it is of the highest quality," the head of state concluded.
