Hezbollah units tried to enter Israel through an underground tunnel

For the first time, Hezbollah units tried to enter Israeli territory. This was reported on Sunday, October 6, by Al Jadeed TV channel, citing Israeli sources.

According to the TV channel, Hezbollah members tried to enter the territory of the Israeli state through an underground tunnel in the Kibbutz Doviv area. Their attempt was intercepted by soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). It is noted that there are dead among Hezbollah fighters.

Earlier that day, the IDF press service reported on the liquidation of Hezbollah company commander Hacher Ali Toil. On the eve of the Al Hadath agency reported the death as a result of an Israeli strike of the main successor and cousin of the liquidated Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, Hashem Safi ad-Din.

On October 1, the Israeli army announced the launch of limited ground raids against Hezbollah in the border area in southern Lebanon. At the same time, as The Times of Israel wrote, four days before that, the IDF eliminated more than 250 members of the Shiite movement. There are 21 field commanders among them, Izvestia clarifies.
