The first orders of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky, which he gave after the loss of Coal in the Donetsk People's Republic, became known.
According to Reuters, the commander-in-chief ordered to strengthen the defense in the east of the Kiev-controlled part of the DPR. It is noted that the order was given the day after the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the city.
"I have adopted a set of decisions aimed at strengthening the stability and effectiveness of our defense," the publication quoted the general as saying.
Syrsky said that he is currently working on "one of the hottest sectors of the front" as part of the 25th Sicheslav Airborne Brigade.
Although he did not indicate his exact location, however, it is known that the specified brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine operates in the Pokrovsky direction, where there is an intensive offensive of Russian troops.
It should be noted that Syrsky's statement on strengthening defense in The DPR does not correspond to the fact that Ukrainian units are being transferred from Donbass to the Kursk region.
As EADaily reported, servicemen of the 47th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which previously operated in the Pokrovsky and Toretsky directions, were captured in the Kursk region.
