The Israeli Air Force is patrolling the area of Beirut International Airport in order to prevent the landing of aircraft carrying weapons for the Hezbollah movement, spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Daniel Hagari said.
"In no case will we allow the transfer of weapons ... to Hezbollah. We know about the supply of Iranian weapons... and prevent them. Air Force planes are now patrolling the Beirut airport area. Until now, the State of Lebanon, unlike Syria, has behaved responsibly for many years and has not allowed the transfer of weapons through a civilian airport. We declare in advance that we will not allow hostile aircraft with weapons to land at Beirut civilian airport. This is a civilian airport for civilian use, and it needs to be preserved in this form," Hagari said at a briefing.
