The declaration of the G7 countries "on support for the reconstruction of Ukraine" was supported by only 30 UN member states out of 193.
This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the official statement of the White House administration.
"Today, President Biden will hold a leadership-level event on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to launch a Joint Declaration of Support for the Restoration and Reconstruction of Ukraine. President Biden will announce that more than 30 countries and the European Union have joined this historic declaration," the document says.
It says that Washington intends "together with international partners" to continue military, budgetary and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as to support reconstruction.
It is noted that the signatories of the declaration undertake to support the desire of Western countries to keep Russian assets frozen until Russia "pays for the damage caused to Ukraine."
In addition, they agree to continue work on providing Kiev with a loan of $ 50 billion by the end of this year.
As EADaily reported, earlier US President Joe Biden announced new military assistance to Ukraine for $ 375 million. The funds are allocated "in the form of defense units and services of the Ministry of Defense, as well as training."
