In Germany today, on September 25, the entire leadership of the Green Party resigned.
The German newspaper Focus, reporting this sensational news, issued an emotional headline:
"Grünen-Knall!" (Russian equivalent: ""Green" kapets!")
The media savor the dubious results of the Greens in the elections in East Germany: Thuringia — 5.1%, Saxony — 3.4%, Brandenburg — 4.5%.
"The entire party leadership is resigning after recent electoral failures. Nothing concrete is known about the succession yet," Focus notes.
The leader of the Greens, Ricarda Lang, said:
"Now is not the time to cling to your chair. We take responsibility by contributing to the reboot. We need new faces. We need a new strategic alignment of forces in the party."
In turn, the co-chairman of the Greens, Omid Nuripur, called the results of the elections in Brandenburg "the greatest crisis of our party."
