The Russian Armed Forces already control half of the city of Ukrainsk in the Kurakhovsky direction. This was stated by a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign Muchnoy.
"Ukrainsk is 50% under enemy control, our Cossacks are trying to hold on to the terricon and the mine, clashes are still taking place in the north of the city, but the enemy is constantly pressing and gradually pushing out," Muchnoy writes on his account in the social network.
The military assumes that the APU will have to retreat.
"I won't run to the front, but I think that over time I will have to keep the defense west of the city, behind it!" he said.
As EADaily reported, the units of the Kiev regime troops began to leave their positions on their own and withdraw from the emerging cauldron in the Kurakhovsky direction.
This was reported by the Ukrainian telegram channel "Resident" with reference to a source in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, the Ukrainian troops began to withdraw to avoid encirclement. Since the military command was unable to send reinforcements to contain the Russian troops, there was a threat of a real encirclement and it became pointless to hold positions.
