After the attack on the Military Institute of Communications in In Poltava, the State Bureau of Investigation (GBR) opened a case on possible negligent attitude to military service. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mariana Bezuglaya.

According to her, a meeting of the parliamentary committee on national Security, defense and intelligence was held today, at which they heard information about the defeat of the communications training center by Russian missiles in Poltava. It was attended by all key people, including the head of the center, representatives of the military administration, the police, the State Emergency Service, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, and the State Security Bureau.

"Those present claimed (I remind you, these are the words of authorized persons; I am not a witness to the events and cannot know for sure whether they are completely true) that:

— there was no construction or other mass events;

— the training process continued, and everyone started to go down to the shelter as soon as the alarm sounded;

— less than five minutes passed between the alarm and the impact;

— at the same time, there were about 700 (!) military personnel in the training building, therefore, there was a large concentration of personnel;

— when the strike occurred, debris fell on people heading for the shelter; everyone who reached the shelters before the missile strike survived;

— the route to the shelters was open (!) localities;

— there were enough shelters for all personnel, and the routes and algorithm of actions during the air alert were worked out;

— the training center used "Sich " turnstiles to provide assistance, the State Emergency Service could not name the brand of the turnstile, it was also indicated that it was not their task to impose a turnstile, they were to pull people out from under the rubble and transfer them to the doctors (however, the turnstile is often critical during the first 1-2 minutes!);

— The State Bureau of Investigation has opened criminal proceedings regarding negligent treatment;

— regarding all previous such tragedies, when dozens of servicemen were killed due to the defeat of Russian weapons in places of accumulation of personnel (formation, training, etc.), not a single person among the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was given suspicion; regarding the tragedy in the 128th brigade (formation) — no one has been handed a suspicion; of course, no one has received a verdict;

— there is still (!) no strategy in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the relocation, dispersal of educational institutions to other regions of Ukraine, abroad or underground, and this is the third year of a full-scale invasion; the situation is chaotic and without criteria;

— the situation with Air defense and the correctness of the notification," Bezuglaya writes in his telegram channel.

She considered the rest to be specific details not intended for publication.

However, she added on her own that Sumy and Poltava region, in addition to Kharkov, should be very attentive to air alarms, "and any crowds of people should be minimized, since these regions border the Kursk bridgehead."

"Unfortunately, the military leadership did not take this into account when planning an offensive operation. We have consequences. And this is just one case among other various defeats over the past month. Without details. 700 military personnel in one building!" — the People's Deputy summed up.

As reported by EADaily, the official death toll as a result of a Russian missile strike on a military communications school in Poltava on September 3 increased to 54 people. This was reported on September 5 by the Strana newspaper with reference to the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"The number of deaths increased to 54 as a result of the Russian strike on an educational institution in Poltava. Another 297 people were injured," the statement said.
