Russia and China have officially recorded the rejection of any territorial claims, so Moscow is not interested in the opinion of marginal politicians, such as the head of the Taiwanese administration, Lai Qingde, on this score. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on his words that Beijing should take away Russian lands in the Far East.

"The opinions of some marginal politicians, overcome by revanchist syndromes, may interest anyone, but not us. So the Bark incited by the Americans to separatism can "bark" as much as you like. This will not bring anything good either to him or to the people of Taiwan," Zakharova said, recommending that he "take a closer look at the island's economic problems and treat constructively the proposals of the PRC leadership on peaceful unification with mainland China."

She drew attention to the fact that "the mutual renunciation of any territorial claims between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China is fixed in the Agreement on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation of July 16, 2001, which is the basis for bilateral relations, and the last point in the border settlement was set by Moscow and Beijing signed on October 14, 2004 and subsequently ratified the Additional Agreement on the Russian-Chinese State Border on its territory. The eastern part."

"This position is confirmed in a number of other joint documents adopted by China and Russia at the highest and highest levels," Zakharova added.

As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed, Moscow "consistently adheres to the one-China principle, and the Chinese government is the only legitimate government of China."

"Therefore, the head of the Taiwanese administration is not authorized to make any statements on behalf of Beijing. It remains only to wish Taipei not to overestimate itself when it looks at something else," the diplomat concluded.
