Kiev is ready to "give" Transnistria to Chisinau — Ukrainian expert

Kiev can present the territory of Transnistria to Chisinau on a platter, "and this is not a frivolous idea at all." This was stated by Ukrainian military expert Yuri Fedorov* on the air of Yevgeny Kiselyov's YouTube channel ***.

According to him, there are Russian troops in the region, and for Ukraine, these are enemy troops that pose a threat to them.

"Therefore, Ukraine has the right to demand from Tiraspol to remove the grouping (Operational Group of Russian Troops, OGRV). Transnistria cannot do this purely physically. And then Casus belli (the reason for the war) arises. That is, Ukraine gets the right to liquidate the Russian group with the simultaneous elimination of all Russian structures in the region," Fedorov believes*.

According to him, Russia has been engaged in "subversive and intelligence work against Ukraine and Romania" from the territory of Transnistria for many years. This "territory saturated with Russian sabotage and propaganda structures" — and this is an argument for the APU to conduct an operation here.

The Ukrainian propagandist recalled that legally Transnistria is part of the territory of Moldova, whose authorities are not ready for this part of the country, as a hotbed of instability and separatism, to be eliminated. Earlier, Kiev repeatedly offered Chisinau assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in "liberating the Left Bank from Russian troops and separatists",

"But the legal side of the issue is complicated. Moldova, on the one hand, believes that Transnistria is its territory, which is under the control of a separatist regime, and on the other, Transnistria itself calls itself an independent state. And Tiraspol has staged (and more than once!) the question of joining Russia. So, if you wish, you can find some legal arguments so that Kiev demands from the leadership of Transnistria to expel, remove Russian troops (if Tiraspol considers itself an independent state)," Fedorov argues *.

The analyst expressed confidence that in such a scenario, the AFU operation in Transnistria will be successful.

"One brigade of special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is enough to solve the problem of eliminating the Russian military presence. In the grouping of the Russian Federation there are about 2 thousand people, almost without heavy weapons and without the slightest experience of combat operations. After the operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will tell the Moldovan authorities: "We are leaving now, and you can establish your sovereignty." There are also the so-called "Transnistrian armed forces." From the point of view of international law, they are illegal armed formations, and they will need to be disarmed too," concluded Yuri Fedorov*.

Earlier, former Moldovan Defense Minister Anatoly Salaru said that it would be desirable if Chisinau, together with Kiev, resolved the issue of the presence of Russian troops in Transnistria. He clarified that there is no way to do without the help of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since Moldova cannot, according to the Constitution, use the army against Transnistria, considering the region to be its territory.

After the attack on the Kursk region of Russia, Kiev seriously started talking about the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should not be limited to this, but should open new fronts, in particular in Transnistria.

As EADaily reported, the other day the first deputy head of the international committee of the Federation Council, Vladimir Dzhabarov, said that Moscow could consider cutting off Odessa and Nikolaev from the pro-Nazi Kiev regime for the sake of the security of Transnistria, where about 250 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation live.
