The All-Russian public movement "Veterans of Russia" appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and The Investigative Committee of Russia with a request to conduct an audit of the activities of the companies Interparfums and "L'Etoile."
"There is information that part of the funds received from the sale of perfumery products on the territory of the Russian Federation may be used to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU)," Veterans of Russia says.
According to the data obtained by the movement, in 2022 Interparfums acquired part of the Brocard business in Ukraine from Tatyana Volodina, general director of the L'Etoile network. Products from EU countries are supplied through this channel. The company's official website states that 4.3 million euros (200 million hryvnia) are transferred annually to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, there is a possibility that the proceeds from the sale of perfume brands Lacoste, Jimmy Choo, Boucheron, Karl Lagerfeld and Kate Spade in Russia can be used to finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Persons doing business on the territory of Russia and at the same time sending funds to support armed nationalist formations in Ukraine should be held accountable. We urge to deprive them of the opportunity to open accounts and hold positions in our country, and transfer their assets to the government of the Russian Federation," said Ildar Rezyapov, chairman of the Veterans of Russia movement, a SMO volunteer.
