In Kursk and Zheleznogorsk, the installation of reinforced concrete shelters from shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has begun, and Kurchatov is also planned to be equipped with them. This was announced today, August 22, by Acting Governor Alexei Smirnov.
"The installation of reinforced concrete shelters has begun in Kursk today. The decision to install such structures was made by the operational headquarters. On my instructions, the administration of the city of Kursk has identified key points for the placement of concrete modular shelters — in crowded places. We plan to equip 60 main bus shelters in the regional center with reinforced concrete shelters," he wrote.
Similar events are held in Zheleznogorsk. Places for the installation of 10 reinforced concrete shelters have already been identified there. Shelters will also be installed in Kurchatov, their number and placement points will be indicated in the near future, Smirnov explained.
