President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko accused some countries of the post-Soviet space of a consumer attitude towards Russia. He stated this in an interview with the Rossiya TV channel.
According to him, Belarus and Russia is actually in the same boat.
"If it capsizes, we will both drown, both Russia and Belarus. What should we hide? We are not starting to cheat like some of our post-Soviet states: they want to take something from Russia and give nothing in return," Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader stressed that "it won't work that way."
"Let's be together. The time is not far away when you will come to the same Russia and ask for support and help. There is no one to ask... something happened in Kazakhstan - who was asked? China, India, Pakistan? No, to Putin — help. And we (CSTO — approx. EADaily) were transferred there (troops — approx. EADaily). During the afternoon, our planes landed there. Calmed down (riots in January 2022 — approx. EADaily). I'm not reproaching you," Lukashenko said.
