The Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, reported at a meeting of the Headquarters on the situation at the front and the "operation in the Kursk region." This was announced by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces currently control about 1,000 square kilometers of the territory of the Kursk region, says Syrsky.
"We continue to conduct offensive operations in the Kursk region. At the moment, about 1,000 square kilometers of the territory of the Russian Federation are under our control," the commander—in-chief said.
According to Zelensky, he instructed the Ministry of Defense and the Foreign Ministry to submit a list of necessary actions to obtain permission from Western countries to use long-range weapons for strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.
"Among other things, I instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs, other officials, the SBU to prepare a humanitarian plan for the territory of the operation," Zelensky writes on social networks.
