As in the case of the HIMARS strike on the column of equipment of the Russian Army near Rylsk (where the commander did not give the order to disperse the units, as well as to disguise the column), the massive strike of the UJ-26A "Beaver" UAV-kamikaze of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the airbase near Lipetsk succeeded solely due to insufficient saturation of the anti-missile umbrella over Rylsk with low-altitude towers tracking and interception of UAVs for batteries of the Pantsir-S1 and Tor-M2 complexes.

Even two or three batteries would be enough to intercept enemy kamikaze drones flying at altitudes of 20-30 m. A similar situation is developing with mobile calculations of 12.7-mm anti-aircraft machine guns and 7.62-mm GSHG-7.62 machine guns, which in the amount of several dozen units should cover such objects in addition to the "Shells-C1". Therefore, it will be possible to exclude the recurrence of such night incidents only in the case of a comprehensive solution to this problem.

The positive news remains the tactically verified and operational actions of the squadron commanders of tactical aviation, thanks to which, a few minutes before the strike, the crews of the Su-34NVO and Su-35S managed to relocate the vehicles to another jump airfield, as described by the author of the Fighterbomber TC.

The situation on the Donetsk front is consistently positive

Against the background of an extremely difficult situation on the Sudzhansky and Lgovsky operational directions of the Kursk Front, In the New York, Pokrovsky and Selidovsky directions of the Donetsk Front, units of the Center group of forces noticeably intensified offensive actions at several key segments at once. In particular, in New York (Novgorod) assault groups of the 9th Motorized Rifle brigade SV of Russia were able to break through the 1st line of the AFU harrow along the street. Postal and New York and gain a foothold in the western district of the city by hoisting the Russian flag over one of the local schools.

Also, the "New York pocket" was finally eliminated, in which there were about 5-7 fairly large strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

To the north, the assault units of the 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade were able to noticeably improve the situation in Kirovo (on the eastern outskirts of Dzerzhinsk) by advancing to the street. Pionerskaya and Pavlova. The confrontation over the establishment of physical control over the eastern districts of Dzerzhinsk in the cemetery area continues.

The airborne assault groups of the 137th and 51st regiments of the 106th Tula Airborne Forces swept into a small tactical half-cell of the AFU formation in the southern vicinity of Perezdne, and also formed an assault "wedge" in the direction of Zvanovka, occupying one of the AFU field fortifications between Razdolovka and Ivano-Frankivsk. The advance of the Pacific Fleet Marine Corps units through the construction of Konstantinovka in the Ugledarsky operational direction was also recorded. The liberation of the settlement is predicted in the coming weeks, after which the focus of the fire onslaught will be the second key fortified area in the South Donetsk direction (in addition to Kurakhovo) — Ugledar, as well as the Yuzhnodonbasskaya No. 3 mine.

Changing the operational and tactical situation on the Kursk front

By noon on August 8, the situation at Sudzhansky and The Korenevsky directions of the Kursk Front continued to remain difficult, but controlled. Company and battalion tactical groups of the enemy expanded the border "sleeves" of control in the direction of Troitsky and Guevo. The settlements of Troitskoye, Gordeyevka, Uspenovka, Guevo, Gornal, as well as a large fortification site on Mount Fagor and a number of commanding heights near Guevo passed under control. According to preliminary calculations, the enemy's control zone is 370 square kilometers, the width of the invasion along the front is 50+ km, the operational depth is up to 20-25.

The units of the North group of forces, including the fresh tank, motorized rifle and artillery reserves that arrived, carried out fire resistance to the breakthrough of the company tactical formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Malaya Lokna and Korenevo: powerful infantry battles and tank duels are recorded. Against this background, the calculations of the Lancet-3 kamikaze UAV intensified strikes on the equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces motorized infantry reserves entering the territory of the Kursk region on the march to target the ZALA 421-16E HD and S350M Supercam optical−electronic reconnaissance UAVs. The main logistical loopholes of the enemy for the transfer of reserves remained (and remain at the moment) the highway Khrapovshchina — Sverdlikovo, Yunakovka — Goncharovka, as well as dirt roads from Miropole to Guevo.

In the afternoon, information was received about the entry of enemy assault groups into Cossack Loknya and Zaoleshenka directly under the Sudzha. In order to cover the mobile assault groups on the MRAP International MaxxPro, as well as the Kozak-2 and HMMWV armored vehicles, the enemy used mobile multi-band electronic warfare systems with non-standard amplitude-frequency modes of UHF/VHF and L-wave bands, which complicated the functioning of the command and telemetry modules of our FPV drones on a number of segments. Now our engineers are working on the required shift in the frequency ranges of the drones, as well as on equipping the new copters with autonomous modules for identifying and capturing targets in conditions of intense radio interference.

By the evening of August 8, information was received that over the next few hours, in order to avoid a further breakthrough of the regular units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Korenevo and Sudzhi areas, the Wagner PMC units arriving from Belarus and African countries would be deployed, which after 15:00 came into fire contact with the enemy literally "from the wheels". Also, fresh motorized rifle and amphibious assault units, detachments of the Aida group of the Akhmat special forces, which arrived from fortifications in the northern outskirts of Volchansk, joined the battle from the march. To block logistics, the strikes of the Tornado-G MLRS were intensified, as well as the deployed additional batteries of the Msta-S/CM2 ACS.

With the onset of dusk on August 8, the enemy resumed intensive fire contact with fresh tactical company units that had approached SV of Russia on the eastern outskirts of the localities of Korenevo, Snagost, as well as on the western approaches to the locality of Martynovka in order to expand the bridgehead in the Lgov operational direction and remove the sections of the Basovka — Sverdlikovo and Yunakovka—Goncharovka highways from the radius of the firing action of barrel artillery SV and RViA of Russia. Bolshoe Soldatskoe was under control throughout the evening The Russian Armed Forces, as evidenced by the video published by military correspondent Alexander Kotz. Late in the evening, on the way to this locality, an infantry battle began with the fire support of FPV drones and armored vehicles. The situation has become more complicated.

Military correspondent Yuri Kotenok, referring to his own sources and videos of the enemy published on the network, noted the fact of the use of the AFU army aviation operating in low-altitude mode in the area of the Suja checkpoint. In particular, the transfer of ammunition for small arms and anti-tank weapons to the Kursk region by means of the Mi-17V-5 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was noted. Unhindered flights of these vehicles over our territory can occur only due to the absence of A-50U long-range radar detection and control aircraft on combat duty north of Kursk, as well as "windows" in the patrol of the Su-35S. The situation requires urgent and radical countermeasures.

By the morning of August 9, units of the Aida group of the Akhmat special forces, the Wagner PMC, as well as motorized rifle units of the Russian army and the 155th separate Marine brigade of the Pacific Fleet, deployed near Martynovka, began to oust the AFU formations from the vicinity of Mikhaylovka, Martynovka, Ivashkovsky, Mirny, as well as the western outskirts of Sudzhi. Attempts to break through the company-tactical formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Korenevka, Snagost, as well as Cellars and Kromsky Bulls on the Lgov operational direction; began to be more effectively suppressed and the attacks of the DRG in these settlements.

As a result, active reconnaissance by combat with the enemy's advance on Lgov and The Korenevsky operational directions were stopped, and the formations of the 22nd, 88th, 80th and 80th, as well as the 22nd and 54th brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began fortification work in forests and forest belts, as well as private sectors of small villages.

There was also information about a multiple increase in the intensity of the use of the Lancet-3 kamikaze UAVs deployed in the Kursk region by enemy armored vehicles and artillery. In order to achieve the desired effect, the barrage ammunition is launched and used in units of 4 or 5 units according to the target designation of one UAV of the S350M Supercam type, or ZALA 421-16E HD, due to which it is sometimes possible to disable full−fledged enemy platoon tactical motorized infantry groups or platoons and ACS batteries.

Nevertheless, it is still extremely early to relax, because the enemy still has about two full-fledged mechanized brigades in reserve, which can be deployed in the next few days, depending on the operational and tactical situation.
