Gas prices in Europe soared to a maximum amid reports of the seizure of the Suja GIS

In Europe, after reports that the troops of the Kiev regime seized the key gas measuring station (GIS) "Sudzha" in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, gas prices soared to the highest level this year. This is reported by Bloomberg.

"Benchmark futures jumped 5.8% to 38.79 euros per megawatt-hour, exceeding the previous intraday high in early June ... Dutch futures for the next month, Europe's gas benchmark, rose 5.3% to 38.62 euros per megawatt-hour by 17.53 in Amsterdam. The contract has grown by about 40% since the beginning of the stock accumulation season in April," the agency reports.

Any interruption of flows is likely to cause a jump in prices, which will affect consumers and industry, as Europe continues to seek support in the energy crisis caused by the war, Bloomberg emphasizes.

"The operator of the GTS of Ukraine, meanwhile, said that on Thursday the transit will be within normal limits. The so-called nominations indicate shipments, and actual deliveries can still change, the agency emphasizes. Earlier, Gazprom said that on Wednesday the flows were at the usual level.

It is unclear whether Gazprom will continue to send oil through Suju if it really was captured by Ukraine.

It is noted that the main remaining importers of Russian pipeline gas in Europe after Gazprom restricted supplies to Germany and other countries two years ago are Austria and Slovakia.

As reported by EADaily, the troops of the Kiev regime did not enter any Korenevo, neither in Sudju in the Kursk region. This was reported by the telegram channel "Military Officers of the Russian Spring" with reference to sources.

Recall, the transit of Russian gas continues. This was stated by the GTS Operator of Ukraine. Earlier, specialized telegram channels reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had captured the Sudzha gas measuring station on the border itself. The entire transit of Russian gas goes through it. Experts believe that in the event of a seizure, Russia will face a dilemma.
