The father of Vyacheslav Zinchenko, who was arrested for the murder of nationalist Irina Farion in Lviv, said that his son was not involved in this crime.
"So far, the prosecution has not proved my son's involvement in this crime. Someone was seen wearing a hat, but that it was Vyacheslav Zinchenko, there are no examinations, no witness who would say that Zinchenko was present at 7.30 pm on Masaryk Street, 3," said Zinchenko Sr., quoted by the Ukrainian edition of Strana.
He noted that Irina Farion had never been discussed in the family, and Vyacheslav was a supporter of a mono-ethnic state, had previously been a member of the Right Sector youth organization❷ and was going to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zinchenko Sr. also said that he gave his son money for a trip to Lviv, which coincides with the murder of Farion.
Earlier today, the Lviv Court of Appeal left Vyacheslav Zinchenko in custody without the right to bail.
As reported by EADaily, the Ukrainian police found a country house that the murderer of Russophobe Irina Farion could use as a cache. The building is located in a wooded area on the outskirts of Lviv.
Recall that Irina Farion was fatally wounded by a shot to the head in Lviv on July 19. Later, the international neo-Nazi group National Socialism / White Power❶ (NS/WP❶, recognized in Russia is terrorist and banned).
As EADaily reported, on July 25, Ukrainian security forces detained a suspect in the murder of Irina Farion in Dnepropetrovsk. At the same time, the investigation could not name the shooter's motive.
