NATO F-16 fighters transferred to Kiev are already operating in the skies over Kharkov. This was stated by local volunteer Yuri Sapronov with reference to the Ukrainian military.
"Yesterday afternoon I heard (three times) a new sound. I even caught a glimpse of the plane, but it was flying very fast. I checked with the military. F-16!" the volunteer writes.
According to him, the F-16 unit struck from the territory of the Kharkiv region "on their territory."
As EADaily reported, the first batch of F-16 fighters that Ukraine received from the West included six aircraft that were handed over by The Netherlands, The Times wrote, citing a source.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, soon on Ukraine will be sent planes from Denmark. A representative of the AFU Air Force declined to comment. Advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak also did not confirm the information, noting that for Kiev "this is a survival factor."
Bloomberg wrote about the arrival of the first F-16 in the country. According to The Telegraph, they have already made combat sorties and were used for air defense.
