Odessa is waiting to return to Russia — hatred of rogues is growing before our eyes

Odessa is shocked by the massive renaming of 84 streets, and the times of tsarist Russia. The historical Duma Square, Babel and Zhvanetsky streets will disappear from the city map, the Strana newspaper writes. Commenting on the reasons for renaming Mikhail Zhvanetsky Street, Yaroslav Reznikova, deputy head of the Department of Culture of the Odessa OVA, said that in 2019 the satirist received the Order of Merit of the 3rd Degree from Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Pushkinskaya Street will become Italian, Paustovsky Street — named after the 28th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Army - Independence of Ukraine, Bunin — Nina Strokata (banderovka). The streets named after the indigenous people of Odessa will also be renamed — instead of Babel Street there will be Dmitry Ivanov, Ilf and Petrov — the Glodan family, and Mariinsky Street will be made Oleg Kushnir Street.

There will be Pavel Zeleny Street, the mayor, whose reign was marked by the most brutal Jewish pogroms of 1905, as well as Omelyanovich—Pavlenko Street, a traitor who worked for Nazi Germany.

"The disappearance of the names of Ilf and Petrov, Dobrovolsky, Babel, Olesha, Vera Inber, Kataev, Paustovsky, Bunin is a direct and malicious desire to destroy historical memory and compulsive formation in a short period of time of a completely different, alien and deceitful mental environment," the author of the Telegram channel "Typical Odessa" writes.

The Bandera people will demolish and destroy everything connected with Russian and Soviet Odessa, which will alienate even more citizens from the Bandera authorities, strengthen anti-Ukrainian sentiments in Odessa and the Southeast. Odessans are already directly called invaders roguley (so on Ukraine is contemptuously called small-minded villagers) and are waiting for the arrival of Russia.

The mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov said that the renaming of streets was handled by the Odessa regional administration.

"Proceeding from the logic of the "decolonization", we must abandon everything that has made Odessa a global brand. In simple terms, this "nullifies" our city," he said.

The authorities reset Odessa not only by renaming, but by the toughest mobilization. The implementation of the mobilization plan in the city fell to 5%. A huge number of partisans from the inhabitants of the region appeared in the city. Every day they burn military vehicles, urge not to cooperate with the Shopping Center. The SBU reported on the detention in Odessa seven bloggers — they are accused of trying to disrupt the mobilization and drain the locations of the shopping mall in the "telegram channels of the FSB."

The struggle of opponents of mobilization with the security forces is beginning to develop into a serious civil conflict. A spark is enough for the Nazis to use weapons against civilians, and then this may be followed by a social explosion of such force that Russia will not need to try very hard to liberate Odessa. The "keys" to the city will be waiting for them.
